As a mom of a special needs child, you’re going to make more mistakes than you care to remember. That’s ok, but try to remember all the things you’re doing right!
Did you take time to talk to God this morning? Did your day start with a thankful heart, or were you consumed with your schedule and wake up overwhelmed?
God has given you and I such a wonderful gift of prayer! It’s not our last resort when you’ve run out of steam, and you just cannot figure anything out. He’s allowed you to be a part of a beautiful conversation with the Him and He’s always waiting for our voice.
So, when the emotions start rolling like threatening storm clouds, wrap yourself up in Scripture and sink into His loving arms. He’s waiting.
Are you sad? Psalm 34:18 says we can find joy in the fact that He is close to the brokenhearted.
Are you angry? Isaiah 54:19 says we can know peace in the promise that God’s love will never be shaken.
Are you frightened? Psalm 18:2 says we can be strong because God is your refuge
He is there. And His heart desires to talk you in every situation. Begin with thanks, confess your sins/faults, ask for help and thank Him for providing His Word to speak to your heart.
Do this before coffee. Get your fix from the one source that truly satisfies: the Word of God.
